Cup Above Tea wins 9 Golden Leaf Tea Industry Awards

Cup Above Tea has again been awarded multiple Golden Leaf Awards after tea industry experts blind tasted hundreds of teas to determine the highest-quality and best-tasting teas commercially available in Australia.

Cup Above Tea won the coveted ‘Best Green Tea’ award along with multiple gold, silver and bronze medals for expertly crafted teas from China, Japan, Nepal and Indonesia. The competition was part of the Australian International Tea Expo held in Melbourne, Australia.

Judges were especially impressed with the unparalleled flavour, expression of terroir and craftsmanship of the Cup Above Tea entries reflecting careful and meticulous sourcing practices and a true commitment to highlighting provenance and the stories behind the leaf.

The wins further cement Cup Above Tea as Australia’s most awarded luxury tea brand after Cup Above Tea took out nine awards in the inaugural year of competition in 2015.

The Golden Leaf Awards is a high-ranking tea competition, judged by professional tea cuppers and industry professionals. The awards aim to showcase the best teas available in the marketplace and hundreds of entries are submitted to the competition for blind tasting.
